Interesting book 2017 Zeng Ming, key strategist at Alibaba Group (2006–2017)Former Chief of Staff Jack Ma. He currently chairs the Alibaba Academic Council and is the dean of the Hupan School of Entrepreneurship. The author described the approaches to building a smart business (smart business) In terms of digitalization, and also to show this with examples from Alibaba, mainly with the example of the development of Taobao. In Russia, the book was published by Alpina Pablisher with an irrelevant title about artificial intelligence - apparently to improve sales:)

Key ideas of the book can fit into several sentences 1) The classical approach to strategy in the form of analysis> planning -> performance ceases to work. It stretches too long and often falls short of customer expectations. Now the chain looks more like this: "real interaction -"> automation -> experimentation 2) Zeng’s smart business formula is “networking + data mining = smart business.”. Due to the first business gets network effects and scalability, and due to the second it can focus on customer needs and offer personalized options. 3) The B2C model is outdated and we need to move to the C2B approach, where products are created based on customer data in real time.. Example: influencers who start the production of clothes after analyzing the reaction of the audience in the social network 4) Zeng describes smart business through a quartet: point-line-side-ecosystemIt describes the interaction of participants and reflects the process of forming complex network interactions that create value for all participants.

Zeng suggests using the point-to-line-to-side concept as a framework for analyzing any business ecosystem, from e-commerce to financial services. Therefore, we will discuss it in more detail in the continuation.
