13 time-travel (13 Journeys Through Space and Time: Christmas Lectures from the Royal Institution)
This book by Colin Stewart is based on 13 lectures on the physics of space and time. The book is presented 13 lectures over the years, starting with 1881 along 2015 year (the book came out 2016 year). Each series of lectures is like a performance in which an experienced scientist acted as a magician, showing science through experiments rather than telling it:) Even in the retelling, you can see elements of the show that were supposed to inspire small audiences to start their journey along the scientific path. And it's great that in the last few years 50 For years, these lectures were recorded on camera and are available for viewing. Royal Institution. For example, in 2020 Christopher Jackson, Helen Czerski, Tara Shine gave a talk about our planet called Planet Earth: A User's Guide.)
P.S. This book reminded me of Perelman with his "Entertaining Physics", and reminded me not directly of the content, but of the effect, when it seems that you have looked behind the scenes of something monstrously interesting and want to step behind it completely:) This is how popular science books should work:)
