AI for Mid-Sized Businesses: Episode Materials (#AI)

I have collected the materials from episode 75 of Code of Leadership, “How Can a Mid-Sized Business Use AI When Doing It ‘By the Book’ Is Too Expensive?” Alexander Vorontsov, a partner at Revelio Tech and the author of AI Subjects, joined me to discuss companies that have neither an AI lab of their own nor a large implementation team. What they do have are shrinking margins, manual spreadsheets, and problems with assortment planning and hiring.

In the conversation: - How a trading company started with employee tasks, set aside an experiment budget, and ran a prototype competition with cash prizes; - Why an AI specialist needs an analyst alongside them who understands the actual data and the specifics of 1C; - Why automation at an outstaffing company fragmented into separate initiatives; - How a ready-made agent for merchandise analytics ended up with no users; - Where to begin: spend one or two weeks studying the work as it is really done and choose one to three tasks that can be improved immediately.

The main point: AI lowers the barrier to automation. But employees still need to understand why their familiar process should change, who will help, and what they will gain from those changes.

I also prepared a 7-minute recap with cases, constraints, and practical conclusions, if you would rather read. 📌 All materials and timestamps 📖 Read the recap 🎬 Watch: YouTube · VK Video 🎧 Listen: Yandex Music · Apple Podcasts · Podster
