AMA session - 7 August 2024

#Engineering #Management #SelfDevelopment #Leadership #Architecture

The post about the session ask me anything got a lot of questions in the comments, so I'll arrange today in the 20.00 YouTube streamwhere I will answer the questions asked.

By the way, I liked the questions, and if you cut them down a little, they turned out to be something like this.

  1. How does my work/life balance work and how do I get to read and write so much?
  2. How do I work with books: select, read, structure, summarize, memorize, ...?
  3. Is there a list of books with their rating?
  4. How deep is the topic of software architecture and how many more books do I need to read to understand this topic?
  5. Which books on architecture are not recommended?
  6. What's the most exciting math book I've read, what's the hardcore math that came in handy at work?
  7. Do I work at work at all or only read books, if I work, how do I apply what I read?
  8. How to develop a middle engineer and where to get knowledge?
  9. Engineering productivity - what do we use besides questionnaires and how did the topic get pumped from my talk at the MTS Confe?
  10. How to organize an effective SRE in bigtech? Within teams or through a separate role and structure?
  11. What helped to get to the current position and how much revenue does it bring? Here I combined 2 different questions in one:)
  12. Which branch leads to the CTO? Individual contributor or engineering manager?
  13. How's it going?

Come on stream and ask more questions on YouTube chat. If the format goes, it will become periodic:)
