Former GitHub CEO Launches New Company to Create New Developer Platform (Category Engineering)
Interesting. news Thomas, who recently left Microsoft (specifically from GitHub)To start my own startup. He came out of the unknown with the announcement of EntireHQ, which raised $60 Millions in a round with a valuation of $300 A new platform with a similar vision Git-compatible database that combines code, intent, limitations, and reasoning into a single version control system. A universal semantic layer of reasoning that allows the coordination of multiple agents through a context graph. AI-native interface that reinvents the software development lifecycle for agent-human collaboration
This vision stems from the fact that over the past three months, the fundamental role of software developer has been effectively reassembled. Incredible improvements in the latest models from Anthropic, Google and OpenAI have made coding agents so good that in many situations it is now easier to write a prompt than to write code manually. The terminal has once again become the center of gravity on our computers. The best engineers can run a dozen agents at once.
Well, the company did not just announce a sit-round and vision - the guys have already rolled out the Checkpoints product, which automatically saves the context of the agent. With this new cube, we get the agent’s context automatically saved as first-class data, with the Git versioning. When you commit an agent-generated code, Checkpoints saves a full session along with the commit: transcript, prompts, affected files, token consumption, tool calls, and more. The guys have already published this product in the form open-source CLI on GitHub.
It will be very interesting to follow the beginnings of the guys - especially Thomas promised that they will develop their product in the open source format.
