Out. second The second season of my Code of Leadership podcast. This time the guest was Dmitry Ilyenkov - founder of @pmclub, a person with extensive experience in project management and co-author of the book "Don't complicate! Project management using the P3.express method, which I am talking about told earlier. We talked in this episode about project management without too much pathos and without trying to turn management into a set of heavy rituals. The main topic of the issue is how to manage projects so that the methodology helps to bring the work to a result, rather than turning into bureaucratic theater.

P3.express is a practical input to project management. Simplicity of methodology is not a minus, but a plus Principles are important because without them methodology easily becomes a cargo cult. Project management is a constant search for a weak link in the chain and its optimization. Metrics are useful, but the goal cannot be reduced to just a number. A good process is needed not instead of a result, but in order to get predictable results.

In general, the issue turned out not about “another methodology”, but about common sense in project management. How not to complicate where you can make it easier, but not to slide into chaos under the guise of flexibility. I recommend it to those who manage projects, products, teams or just regularly find themselves in a situation where you need to bring difficult work to the result together with other people.
