What remains scarce when code becomes cheap: tools, engineering judgment, or trust between a company and its developers?

This Friday at 18:00 Moscow time, the next Code of Leadership live stream will feature Sergey Berezhnoy (veged.ru), Director of Developer Relations at Yandex, CTO of Yandex Practicum, and one of the co-authors of the BEM methodology. Sergey has worked at Yandex since 2005, moving from interface development into DevRel, open source, and education. This will not be a career retrospective, however. I want to understand how technical leadership extends beyond a single team and takes shape through methodologies, platforms, community work, and public accountability.

We will discuss:

  • Why a business needs DevRel and how to measure its results;
  • Why an internal technology should be opened to the world, and how to choose projects for open source
  • How software development is moving from autocomplete to AI agents and harness systems;
  • What happens to a leader’s role when agents become part of the team;
  • Who and what to teach when AI increasingly takes over traditional entry-level tasks.

Watch the episode and bring your questions and examples to the comments.
