A giant beard that was evil.

I read a graphic novel with that title this weekend and liked it. In this novel, Dave, the protagonist, lives on an island like The Truman Show. He wants to work every day, the meaning of which he does not understand, in his spare time he looks out the window and draws passers-by - in general, he has a measured life, where everything is simple and predictable. And not only he has such a life - it is the same for everyone who lives on the island that is here. But not everything is so simple - Dave lives near the sea, which protects the island of Here from the obscure and chaotic Tam. And one day with Dave, strange things begin that bring this sleepy realm out of stasis ... and what about here you can read the beard in the novel itself, which coolly tells about internal and external chaos, the fear of change and the usual reaction to them.
