This is Hank Rainwater's book. 21 I read this book for the first time somewhere. 15 Years ago, I was interested in the title of the book. I was a linear developer at the time and didn't really lead anyone, but even then I found chapters useful: 2. How to manage yourself - the principles of managing your activities 6. Philosophy and methods of the technical leader - technical principles and how to communicate them to others 7. The decline of a leader - anti-patterns of leadership and how to live with them, if your leader manifests them 9. How to get along with the boss is a standard question for many, because most have managers:)
After a while, I became the head of the development team and read the book again. Interestingly, other chapters have already played with new colors:
- How to get used to the role of a manager is a very important chapter that helps to overcome the tipping point of the transition from a technical specialist to a technical manager:)
- How to lead a pack - new skills a leader needs
- How to organize success - improve the effectiveness of your work
- How to run meetings – how not to burn time in unnecessary or inefficient meetings
- The rise of the leader - aspects inherent in the leader Five years ago, I re-read the book and realized that, despite the inauthenticity of some of the technologies mentioned in the book, the main meaning and content of the book are still useful. Especially for people who have recently moved from being a lineman to a team leader. Now there are more interesting and relevant books, but for the sake of interest you can read this one.
