Contract with God (A Contract with God)

The classic graphic novel by Will Eisner, which was first published in 1978 year and since then has been transferred to 15 languages. I was initially scared off by the title of the book, but I bought it and finished it yesterday. From the book I learned about the classic comic book author, Will Eisner, who was born more. 100 years ago in Brooklyn and caught the times of the Great Depression and stood at the origins of the birth of comics, to which he himself had a hand with the comic book "The Spirit". During World War II, he enlisted in the army to draw illustrated instructions for the military, and in his old age he decided to publish a graphic novel in which he told autobiographical stories from the life of immigrants in New York in the 1930s. This graphic novel became one of the first in its genre and no one wanted to publish it, but then the publication still happened and it became a classic. Classic depressive, but with deep meaning and beautiful rendering:) In general, I recommend reading it.
