Corporate presentation. How to sell an idea for 10 slide

#PublicSpeaking #Conference #Storytelling #SelfDevelopment

I have a public performance on my nose this Saturday, so today I decided to recall a book on presentations. However, I remembered the book is quite narrow-themed - about corporate presentations. And the book of Dmitry Lazarev is quite good. Some chapters are even interesting to read. But there are a few things that cut your eyes:

  1. page 124 the statement of the system that it is not more but not less than the sum of its components (A conceptual misunderstanding of what a system is)
  2. Often unfunny humor in examples of grotesque exaggeration n
  3. It's a huge self-promotor. Example page 135A list of win-win options: Apple and Microsoft in the world of software, blue chips in the world of finance, McKinsey in the world of strategic consulting and at the end of the list the author of the book as a business coach. In general, the thought of reading a self-presentation book slips through.
  4. Back cover: The author begins his description with the word “facilitator.” Of course, I understand that some terms are difficult to translate, but this is not the place at all. As a result, I had this metaphor in my head: a facilitator is a negotiator:)

As a result, you can advise this book to inexperienced users, because it addresses many basic issues, but ... in this case, be tolerant of the features of this book I mentioned.
