Kubernetes: The Documentary (Rubric #Infrastructure)

Today I watched a documentary about Kubernetes, which tells how this orchestrator came about and became the de facto standard for container orchestration. The film was very interesting and showed that To capture the share of the cloud market, Google had to come up with something new. They decided to do something new according to the Open Source model and eventually create a separate structure of the Cloud Native Computing Foundation. Collaboration of different stakeholders RedHat, Google, ... helped the project to include different experiences of participants and jointly move the project forward The successful pilot with Pokemon Go, whose infrastructure was deployed on top of the K8s, showed that the orchestrator has great prospects. A number of other interesting points, for example, the size of the initial team of several people or the very chamber first Kubecon:)

Anyway, it was interesting to watch. The film consists of two parts. (1 and 2)which are in the order of an hour.
