I read a book reprint this weekend. 1958 Avenir Ivanovich Uyomov, which basically tells about logic and logical errors. The author very simply and clearly reveals the topic, at the same time he does not pour water and almost fits into the water. 100 pages. In modern literature, it is rare to find such an approach - now it is accepted to repeat the same idea in a circle so that even the most inattentive reader understands what it is about on the fifth repetition. True, this textbook has its own peculiarity - it was written in the days of the Communist Party, which means that Lenin and his reflections meet us on occasion and without reason, tied with white threads to the general logic of the narrative.

The book consists of the following parts: 1) What is the essence of logical errors? The author shows by example what are the differences between factual and logical errors, and then dwells on logical errors. 2) What is the harm of logical errors? Logical errors can lead to incorrect conclusions, which in turn lead to real consequences. n 3) What are the causes of logical errors Here the author shares the correctness of thinking, which helps to prove his position, as well as the persuasiveness of speech, which allows to convince the opponent, even if the logical reflections are incorrect. Often the causes of logical errors are people’s ignorance of what is correct thinking. (logicality) wrongness 4) The Importance of Practice and Different Sciences to Eliminate Logical Errors The author notes that everyday life practice is often enough for simple reflection. (commonsense)But for situations it is more difficult to be familiar with different sciences, for example, mathematics, where axioms, theorems and their proofs are very often found, which contain logically correct reflections. 5) How Logic Helps You Fight Logical Errors The main part of the book, in which logic comes to our aid to combat logical errors! 5.1) Logical forms of thought - the author tells about what is logical form, concepts, judgments, reasoning, proofs 5.2) How to Avoid Logical Mistakes in Different Forms of Thought This part occupies more than half of the book and contains theoretical explanations and practical examples with an analysis of errors and their causes.

In general, this book is definitely interesting and useful for studying, you just need to filter the political agenda that was in the USSR in the late 50s. 20 century.
