Made at Intel

Just recently, a book by Valery Cherepennikov was published, which was collected from his Series of articles "Made at Intel"which he published on Habre. Although I had read more than half of these articles at the time of publication, I decided I wanted to re-read them as a book and put them in my library. In short, this book is a set of stories, somewhere funny, somewhere sad, sometimes standard, and sometimes outstanding. I am very impressed by the author’s style and the feeling that these stories are told to you by your friend, whom you met in a bar and you poison the stories of the old days, when the grass was greener and the sky bluer. When you think about these stories, you can see what it looks like. The influence of culture in a large company (And how it turns into a religion.) Development of ISA x86 (Instruction Set Architecture) and focus on this set of instructions to the detriment of other directions:)

• not trending (mobile, AI, ...) And how this gradually affects the clumsy Goliath:) The federal structure of a large company, where different units have different interests Corporate policy and its impact on senior managers and even the direction of the company Merge & Acquisitions and how they usually end
• staff reductions (cutoffs) periodicity What happens when a tech company is run by accountants?
• and so on.

To be honest, the book is interesting to read. (I did it in a few hours.)It is also interesting to reflect and try on what happened at Intel for your own experience. Therefore, I recommend the book to read.
