This book by Oleg Feygin, a major academic scientist, published by the publishing house Bin Laboratory of Knowledge resembles Olivier salad from advanced popular science concepts from different fields. The author interestingly and figuratively tells about them so that you can read without interruption.

The book consists of three parts.

  1. Mysteries of abstract knowledge - here the author mainly talks about cosmology, starting with various theories about the creation of the world and ending with a time machine.
  2. Here it all begins with the Poincaré problem, which was solved by Gregory Perelman, continues with artificial intelligence with Turing, cyborgs and machine civilization, and ends with the search for life in the universe and the secrets of our blue ball, which are enclosed in the hydrosphere.
  3. Scientific discoveries of man - here we learn about different types of electricity, magnetosphere, superconductivity, tokamaks and ends with quantum computer science with quantum entanglement and qubits

In general, the author 250 Pages manage to tell about such a number of things that few seem to anyone:) Therefore, I read it during this vacation, reading at a time no more than a few chapters, which, on average, occupy an average of two parts. 5 page (sum 45 heads).
