From AI-native development to AI-native platform (Category AI4SDLC)
Wrote. article The next bottleneck of AI-native development lies not in the code writing layer, but in the development platform itself. Once agents enter the main workflow, GitHub ceases to be just a place to store code and run CI, and becomes a layer of control for people and agents. Then review, security checks, policies, and telemetry cease to be an external binding and become part of the computational path.
Using the example of GitHub, I understand how agent scenarios create a new class of platform load, why defense mechanisms themselves become part of the main load, and what this means for large engineering organizations. In short, AI accelerates not only coding, but also increasing pressure on CI, review, verification and the path to merger. So the next mature form of AI-native is not just an agent in an IDE, but AI-native platform engineering.
