Revelations by the speaker (Confessions of a Public Speaker) (Category PublicSpeaking)

A year ago, I read Scott Berkun’s hilarious and lively book, The Orator’s Revelations. I don’t buy or read books like this very often, but I remember Scott’s writing style from The Art of Project Management, which I read early in my career. (into 2007 year). Scott spoke interestingly about his experience at Microsoft, about difficulties and problem situations, did not lean dogmatically to some models from PMI, IPMA, PRINCE2. In general, reading was interesting and useful. After Microsoft, Scott went on free bread and became a professional writer and speaker, as a result, the focus shifted from management to the issues of being a speaker. So came this book, in which he tells stories on topical topics and answers standard questions.

• how to curb fears How to work with a complex audience How to make people stop being bored How to start earning on performances In general, the book does not pull on the textbook for the speaker, but does not pretend to do so. But it's definitely good for looking behind the stage and seeing that professional speakers are human, and nothing human is alien to them. It was interesting to read:)
