I read to children in a few evenings the book "Akronis and a quantum computer" authored by Alexei Kavokin.

In this book, twelve-year-old Akronis is transferred to a new English private boarding school, where she chooses an encryption project as her own work. And then the school begins to unfold a detective story in which Akronis is involved. In parallel, we learn about the book cipher, the Caesar cipher, Enigma, Alan Turing, Michelin stars, photons and qubits:) In general, it can be seen that Alexei Kavokin, the author of the book, also a scientist-popularizer of science, tried to make it not just an interesting, but also a cognitive story:)

I loved reading this book to my kids, I recommend it.
