Cover for a Code of Leadership episode on bringing GenAI into operations with Artem Bondar

I am continuing to explore what happens to work when GenAI moves beyond software development. In coding, a model has a codebase, tools, and tests. In an ordinary business process, half the rules may exist only in employees' heads, exceptions may be buried in messages, and an error may not surface for a month. Simply moving an AI agent from the IDE into the back office can therefore turn into a circus very quickly.

On Monday, August 3, at 17:00 Moscow time, I will host a live Code of Leadership stream with Artem Bondar.

Artem has spent more than a decade at the intersection of software engineering and machine learning. He builds ML and GenAI products and writes about why successful adoption begins not with model selection, but with analysis of the process, the data, and the reasons a system may fail. Artem also runs an excellent Telegram channel: https://t.me/artemonml.

We will discuss GenAI beyond the usual technology-podcast territory:

  • Why customer support looks like an ideal AI proving ground, even though automating a reply is far easier than solving the customer's problem;
  • Which accounting tasks can be delegated to a model, and where mandatory double-checking consumes the entire economic benefit;
  • What remains of marketing and copywriting work once text production is no longer scarce; how AI enters the work of building designers, where context is more complex, feedback cycles are longer, and mistakes cost more;
  • Why human-in-the-loop does not always make a system more reliable and can merely turn a specialist into an exhausted monitor;
  • How to measure adoption end to end, including corrections, escalations, manual verification, and the cost of failure.

The central question is whether GenAI automates professions, or primarily forces companies to describe their own work at last: collect the context, agree on rules, make quality measurable, and assign responsibility for decisions.

Bring your questions and your own stories. I am especially interested in cases where a polished demo collided with a real process—or actually became a production product.
