Research Insights Made Simple #8 "Measuring developer goals" (Rubric #DevEx)
In this release Alexander Kusurgashev came to visit me to talk about the Google article "Measuring developer goals":) Alexander works at T-Bank in Core Tech and develops our internal development platform. He believes in the laws of physics, platforming, and the benefits of reuse. For him, it is important that T-Bank’s IT systems work efficiently – from the level of physical infrastructure to the final services for consumers. Sasha spent most of his IT career developing platform solutions for low latency and ultra low latency electronic trading.
During the podcast, we discussed the following topics: Sasha’s experience and responsibility in T-Bank Discuss critical user journeys to identify measurable and objective goals for engineers Granularity and decomposition of objectives An integrated approach to optimization
- Importance of a systematic goal-setting process Evolution of feedback in the Engineering Satisfaction Survey Transition from tools to goals Measurement of metrics and process monitoring Variability of tools and complexity of standardization Scientific approach to process improvement
