Nutcracker and Mouse King

#Theater #ForKids #ForParents

The approach of the new year can be followed by traditional Christmas performances and their frequency. It so happened that in the last 24 I was twice in the productions of the Nutcracker based on Hoffman’s story, but what different productions they were.

  1. It was last night. immersiveIt unfolded on three floors of the mansion, which depicted the world of mice, the world of people and the world of toys. The mechanics of this production involved the simultaneous unfolding of events on all three floors and silent spectators who had free will and could choose which floor to be on, which character to follow and whether to follow anything at all:) This is the first time I’ve done this and I found it interesting.
  2. This morning, it was production For kids in Fanny Bell's cabin, where the youngest kids actually sit in the front row, which is not separate from the stage. They only participated in this production. 3 But they did it very well - the small audience involved in the performance, communicated with the actors, suggested that they saw the Mouse King, and also participated in the attack on him, throwing snowballs. So the kids really liked it:)

So in one day I saw a production based on the Nutcracker twice and was able to compare how the plot is played out for an audience of different ages:)
