Today I decided to recall Arnheim’s book Art and Visual Perception, which I read long ago when I became interested in photography:)
This book 1954 It is still actively recommended for reading, as it is a classic work on the study of the psychology of art. It was recommended to me as an aspiring photographer along with Lapin’s simpler book “Photography as....” Arnheim’s book came to me very well and allowed me to learn to see what is happening around me in a different way:)
If you are interested, you can see examples of my photos at 500px.> bit.ly/apolo500px Now I don’t have time to do photography, but the theory helps to distinguish elegant solutions in related areas, for example, in Software Architecture:) You can learn something about the book by looking at the list of chapters and examples of drawings that show the patterns of our perception:)
