Yesterday I was able to attend the closing of the tournament.Chess stars 4.0" and awarding winners. This was due to the fact that the general partner of the tournament is T-Bank:) In parallel with the adult tournament with cool participants, children's tournaments were also held. (before 9before 11before 13 before 17 years). Participants of children's tournaments managed to play in the same hall with participants of the main tournament. And the main tournament had a steep composition: Karjakin, Artemyev, Tomashesky, Tabatabai, Sadhwani, Hou Yifan, Goryachkina, Gunina, Lagno. As a result, the best among the girls became Hou YifanAnd among men, Vladislav Artemyev. The tournament had a cool commentator. In general, it is cool that this chess tournament has already got on the tracks and was held in 4 once. Plus, it is cool that young chess players have the opportunity to shine at the tournament and watch and communicate with chess luminaries live. I think we will continue to sponsor this tournament and help develop chess in the country.

P.S. For me, these are flashbacks from the past - I played quite a lot of tournaments as a child, when I went to chess classes from the first grade to the seventh or eighth grade:) However, I turned out to be weak in chess, so I switched to mathematics and physics and then went to study them to enter Phystech.

P.P.S. I try to play chess at home with my kids when I have time. Sometimes it works, but I can see how hard it is for them to keep their focus, especially when they are around. (cellphone) There are simpler games, and there is more entertainment on TV. (cartoon). But I think that it is worth teaching chess to children - it will help you learn to focus, evaluate your position, plan your actions and so on.
