7 The conference will be held in February T-Sync ConfA private engineering hackathon will be held for Senior+ teams. We decided to try a new format for those who make architectural decisions in the market. There, teams will solve practical problems to optimize a high-load distributed system. But it will be necessary not only to solve the problems of a really working system, but also to present its solution to a wide range of participants. In general, we decided to try a mix of treadshuting, designing, implementing changes, and then justifying our decision, and there are no “correct answers”, but there are compromises and their justification.

More specifically, the format of this

  • Just offline.
  • 5 team 3–5 man
  • Participation - by selection through a questionnaire Member level: Senior / Staff / Principal

Participants have to work Diagnostics of infrastructure, application architecture and database Designing and implementing solutions under constraints Demonstration of the effectiveness of the solution on the combat infrastructure Presentation of the decision in the form of a presentation with the results achieved

Participants will be available

  • System source code
  • Infrastructure configurations Metrics, Logic, Tracing and Observability Opensource stack, fully open for analysis and modification

If we talk about the technology stack, it will be +/- standard.

  • Backend: Java/Go, PostgtreSQL, Kafka, Kubernetes
  • Docker Compose, Terraform, Ansible Different balancers: Envoy, Nginx
  • Public clouds

We think that the format can be interesting for different specialists, among which Architects of distributed systems Staff/Principal Engineers Senior Infrastructure and Backend Engineers SRE and highload and low-latency system specialists n Engineering managers with extensive practical experience In teams, backend engineers and SREs are particularly important.

Participants will have access to the following items

  • The winning team gets 500 000 ruble All participants will receive public recognition at the conference and fix the authorship of the decision. All participating teams get access to a private conference party
