The Manager's Path: A Guide for Tech Leaders Navigating Growth and Change
During my vacation, I read a great book for technical managers from Camille Fournier, who shared her experience with the team. 10 chapters 220 pages. Interestingly, the book is titled as the manager's path and starts with the career ladder and what that path looks like. Almost every chapter is devoted to one of the steps, and at the end of the book, the author explains how to build the right engineering culture, create a career ladder for engineers in your company, and build cross-functional teams. In general, there are useful points for everyone in this book, from the engineer who does not lead people to the CTO. This is what the chapter list looks like.
