I recently read a book called Digital@Scale. Business Digitalization Handbook by three senior McKinsey partners 29 It is not difficult to guess from McKinsey. Despite the use of the term digitalization of business, the book turned out to be quite good both in structure and content. The authors begin the book with a story about the rapid changes that technology is bringing to our world. Then they move on to the fact that they demand fundamental changes, and then they move on to issues.

  • Why, because time doesn't wait. What - taking the necessary measures, developing the business architecture and strengthening the foundation How to carry out digital transformation, launch a digital company, conduct a large-scale deployment The authors divide companies by levels of digitalization:
  • first level - companies with limited experience, often their main activity was not related to the number The second tier is companies that are already familiar with digital technologies, but are initially crowded by digital competitors. Third tier – fully digital companies The attached image has author recommendations for each level. By the way, if you need a CDTO (Chief Digital Transformation Officer)This means that the company has not yet reached the third level:) And perhaps just starting from the first and need a wizard that repeats the sixth feat of Hercules:) P.S. Some of the things related to how digital companies work initially are stated quite simplistically, for example. Agile, which implicitly equates to scrum
  • OKR, which clearly equates to KPI
  • and others. But to give credit and the authors set out these simplifications available to the target audience, which are companies of the first and second levels. And then, if these companies need to, as they dive, they will open up other sources with more accurate information.
