Troubleshooting Interview (Category Engineering)
Yesterday, for the first time in six months or more, I conducted a treadshooting interview for a SRE engineer. I used to be the leader of this hiring section, a lot. told about (Devops Conf) and even public interview Devoops Conf. But then I handed the section over to another leader, and I stayed in the interview pool, and I almost never got this kind of interview. But this week he flew in and I wanted to say no - I was too overwhelmed with other things and didn't want to waste time refreshing my memories. But I thought it was a great way to stretch my mind and remember the past — I remembered the rules, took one of the tasks that I was adding to one of my teams’ post-mortem trollshooting pool, and went to interview. In the interview, I remembered how cool it was to play DnD as a gamemaster - we defeated the dragon and saved the princess. (system)And I was really curious.) As a result, I decided to add chapters about troubleshooting to the system-design.space site - the reliability of the designed solution is often very important in system design interviews. Anyway, I added interviewerIn general, but in the chapter public interview still made visualizations of the application architecture and start failure). I think that at leisure I will take more post-mortems and do practical tasks - and then maybe I will do a public interview with them:)
