This weekend, I finished reading Black Mirror: Inside a Black Mirror, which focuses on the series and covers every episode released to the time of its release, which is the full four seasons.
The book is made in the format of interviews with key people who gave the series the appearance that caused it to acquire a cult status. In each episode, Charles Brooker and Anabel Jones discuss the plot of the series, the emergence of the idea, its development and what exactly is the twist. Directors and actors are involved in this discussion, and since the third season, everyone says that he is an ardent fan of the series. The book is made in collectible design and it is very pleasant to hold and read, but it is advisable that you be the first to hold it, as black glossy paper easily collects fingerprints, just like ordinary mirrors:)
P.S. I didn’t watch the series myself, because I had enough of the first series, after which I decided that the series was not for me. But after reading the book, I realized that the ideas of the authors are very peculiar and fascinating. In the chapters devoted to each series, Charlie Brooker’s lines are especially interesting, in which he shares his thoughts and tells how such stories were collected from them.
In general, I recommend this book to read, regardless of whether you watched the series or not:)
