In the middle 2018 I read a book about blockchain to keep up with the theoretical foundations of this hype topic:) I chose the book “Blockchain Basics” by Daniel Drescher and did not regret it, although the book has almost no mathematics and formal proof of the statements for which books on distributed systems are famous and which I like:)

Now I decided to think about it, because in one of the MBA classes, a professor from INSEAD told us the basics about blockchain. And these basics were far less qualitative than those outlined in Daniel Drescher's book. The book from the author came out great – simple and accessible to understand the general concepts, and also enough to assess whether or not another high-profile ICO will fly.

P.S. After reading this book, I realized that I didn’t want to dig into blockchain stories and consistently declined all proposals to do them:)
