Yandex. Zen. How to Create Your Blog and Make It Popular

#Writing #SelfDevelopment

Yesterday I decided to read a book from Anna Denisova about how to blog in Zen (The book was written back in the days when it belonged to Yandex.). I won’t say that I learned something new about creating a blog, but I can’t help but mention the good structure of the book.

  • Introduction Discussion of motivation to become a blogger (monetization topics)
  • Discussion of the concept of the blog Discussion of the target audience and the topic about which the author can write texts
  • Zen formatsavailable for publication - articles, videos, stories, etc.
  • Creating the content of the plan Posts: A plan of what and when you will post on your blog
  • Writing an article - here the author talks about the topic of the article and its non-banality, structure, brightness, call to action in the article and so on.
  • Preparation of the article for publication - here is discussed the design of the article - creating titles, a brief description, images for the cover, tagging, etc.
  • Creating illustrations for articles - basic story about the search for photos, shoot yourself, as well as adapt them in the article
  • Videotaping Similar tips as those for the photo
  • Statistics How to analyze your blog metrics through the editor interface and using Metrics data
  • Monetization How to Start Making Money on a Blog
  • Increased popularity of the blog - here we are talking about the program of support of authors, promotion of the article, collaboration with other authors, etc.
  • Psychology of Blogging The author analyzes the standard problems: haters, dissatisfaction with earnings, unpredictability of indicators, burnout and deceived expectations that being a blogger is easy
  • Useful materials Here the author gives links to useful services for bloggers, and also shares checklists: checklist of a good article, an advertising article, a plan for the development of a new channel.

In general, it seemed to me that the book can be useful for aspiring authors, but if you are already blogging, then you will not learn much.
