So far, only serious books and not about IT have been published:)
Today, I decided to recall the book by Tom DeMarco and Timothy Lister “Adrenaline Bluffers and Zombified Templates”. Behavior patterns of project teams” ("Adrenaline Junkies and Template Zombies"). This classic book is devoted to the behavior patterns of project teams, some of which are related to successful teams, and some are a harbinger of the coming disaster:) I read this book several times, and at the very beginning of my career, it did not really hook me. But now, with some experience, she seems just wonderful:) Za. 15+ years of my work in the industry, most of the above patterns in one way or another met me in reality. And in the book they are presented so vividly that you literally see all these situations again before your own eyes:) The book has a clear structure - all thoughts are structured in 86 The patterns, but the groupings of patterns like the Gang of Four in their book Design Patterns are missing.
Here are some examples of the patterns in the book:
- I Gave You a Chisel. Why Aren’t You Michelangelo?
- News Improvement
- Lessons Unlearned
- Orphaned Deliverables
- Testing Before Testing
- Management by Mood Ring
- Piling On
- Rattle Yer Dags
- Natural Authority
- Fridge Door
