Critical Thinking is a book that will improve your thinking.

One year ago, I was at a garage sale at Alpine. There was music playing, on the stage were the authors of books, and of course on all the horizontal surfaces were books, whole scattering of books. I picked up a whole stack so that I could hardly hold it in my hands, holding my chin. And out of that pile, it was Tom Chatfield's book Critical Thinking that I remembered most of all - as if I recognized myself in the author by looking into a metaphysical mirror of meaning:)
