I've been before. told About a cool children's fairy tale about Gruffalo, but today my wife read to my youngest son the continuation of this fairy tale about Gruffalo's daughter, and I decided to tell about her. And if in the last fairy tale it was about bragging and argumentation through an appeal to authority, then here is a classic story about a child to whom Gruffalo's father tells terrible stories about the formidable Mouse, who

... Like a bear mighty and full of wool, Snakes on the ground his long tail, Orange fire burns his eyes. And iron mustaches walk the walker! In general, Mouse is very dangerous, so there is no going into the neighboring forest. But the daughter decides to find out the truth and one night goes to the forest in search of Mouse. Along the way, she encounters a snake, an owl and a fox, mistaking them for Mouse tracks. But when she meets them, she realizes that they are not the ones she is looking for. Eventually, she finds a little mouse and decides to eat it, but something goes wrong... and the daughter runs away in horror to the cave to her father, where she falls asleep with thoughts. How good it is in the cave... Fall asleep to the sounds of snoring... It's okay when Dad's on the side!

In general, the story is fun, though, after the original Gruffalo is weaker. In this story, we see references to childhood curiosity, imagination and fears, the importance of parental care and protection "at the side of the Pope."
