A New Podcast, ‘Where Is the Profit from Data, Lebowski?’, About Data and Its Value to Business (#Data)

We are launching a new podcast with the following hosts: - Andrey Tsybin — the perspective of product analytics and online experiments - Nikolay Golov — the perspective of data architecture and data-platform product development - Alexander Polomodov — the perspective of software architecture, AI4SDLC, and engineering leadership

The first episode will be foundational and will focus on “Turning Data into Money: What Does That Mean and What Options Are There?”

Data monetization does not mean only “selling a dataset.” A company has at least three routes: - sell or license the data; - use it internally to improve decisions; - embed the data in a product whose outcome the customer pays for.

We will examine where profit actually appears: in new revenue, savings, lower expected losses, or faster decisions. We will discuss direct sales, internal data platforms, and products where the customer pays not for rows, but for an outcome.

For each case, we will ask one uncomfortable but useful question: - Who pays, for what change, and where does it show up in the P&L? - No cult of dashboards and no analytics for analytics' sake.

🗓 The live premiere is at 12:00 Moscow time on September 7.
