About three years ago, I read Nikita Nepryakhin’s book I Manipulate You. The methods of counteracting hidden influence, which I recommend to read:)

In the first chapter, the author talks about what is manipulation, highlighting 4 principal properties:

  • psychological impact
  • violent nature
  • hidden character
  • myth/purpose/scenario Then there is the classification of manipulators:
  • victim
  • despot
  • prosecutor
  • Your boyfriend. In the next chapter, the author lists 13 The most common manipulations and countermeasures. A little further there are tricks: logical manipulations, among which the author singled out the whole. 30 pieces. And so on. I liked the book because the author describes the subject area very methodically and interestingly, introducing definitions, conducting classifications, describing algorithms for conducting and countering manipulations themselves. Thank you very much for this, because the book can be recommended as a tutorial:)
