It does not describe any secret techniques or practices, but it is full of common sense and practical advice that will improve the quality of the writing. The book is divided into five parts:

• Go ahead.
• Write.
• Fight.
• Sell it.
• How to start. The first part discusses how to overcome your fears, how to find your niche and how to make the most of your life experience in writing. The second part deals with the generation of the flow of ideas. (brainstorming)Using why and what next questions to build a plot, creating vivid images and a compelling story, and using the right language in the appropriate context, and iteratively working on the piece through a series of increasingly detailed drafts. The third part deals with the issues of finding and organizing a suitable place, the help of friends, working with criticism and self-criticism, how to find time for writing and how to go forward. One of the quotes that came out of this part is, "We teach people how to treat us." If a person does not respect you as a writer, you should make them respect you as a person.” It is interesting that the word "writer" here can be replaced by any profession:) The fourth part tells how to sell, and tells about classic sales to publishers, as well as how to work in a modern environment. It was really modern at the time of the original book. 10 years ago. The fifth chapter gives practical advice on how to start writing stories, scripts, and autobiographies. In general, the book is not bad, but I found it a little simple.
