These days, from Monday to Wednesday, I spend in St. Petersburg at team competitions for schoolchildren and students in programming: for students, this is what I do. ICPC in Northern EurasiaAnd for school children, it's All-Russian Olympiad (By the way, in the enclosed pictures it is just her.). Yesterday I participated in the opening and told

  • How happy to see a full concert hall of people who are passionate about programming - this is quite a rare sight in general, but which can be seen at such competitions or IT conferences.
  • How we at Tinkoff are pleased to support education in general and specifically such an event. (More information about Tinkoff Education can be found in a separate channel) How cool that the participants got to this stage of the competition and that they are waiting for a couple of exciting days, during which you need to enjoy participating.
  • That someone will be lucky and they will be able to win, but even those who are unlucky will have a bright future in the industry, for example, in the sponsoring companies of the event. (Preferably in a particular yellow company.)
  • I wish everyone luck.

That was the end of my one-minute speech, as was my participation in yesterday's official part:)

P.S. The photos show that the tables are colorfully decorated with balls - it is not just a detail of the interior, it is an indicator of how teams cope with tasks. The color of the ball reflects the complexity of the task The number of balls shows how many tasks are solved And balls in the form of stars are given to teams that were the first to solve a specific problem. In general, the atmosphere of the event is wonderful and resembles how in childhood you yourself went to the Olympics - in the air you feel some tension and thought work, and emotions flash on the faces of the participants, teamwork is visible, which is sometimes replaced by deep brooding.
