AI4SDLC at IT Picnic: Talk Materials (Category #AI4SDLC)

I’ve collected the materials from my August 8 talk at IT Picnic, “State of AI4SDLC: How AI Shifts Software Development Bottlenecks.” This was my final talk representing T-Bank. In it, I took stock of AI4SDLC as I had developed the initiative: research, an engineering platform, agents and changes to how teams work.

The talk explores what happens once writing code gets faster. Work starts piling up at review and testing; further along, defining tasks and accepting the results become constraints. Giving everyone AI tools is only the beginning. That leads into the other themes: why specifications matter again, how to prepare an internal platform for agents, and why we should measure waiting, rework, quality and cost. It also covers the changing work of engineers as they spend more time defining tasks, gathering context and validating what agents produce.
