Once I bought a book “How to explain computer science to a child” from the publishing house MIF with a plan to give it to my eldest son and only then read the subtitle “Illustrated guide for parents on modern technologies”. So I had to read the book and it turned out to be fiery.)

  1. To begin with, it was co-authored by one doctor of science in computer science and one professional developer, advised by three doctors of science.
  2. It is written in very simple language and contains many illustrations.
  3. It covers a lot of topics: the basics of computers for ordinary people, what is computer science, hardware, algorithmic thinking, data, programming techniques, programming languages, networks, creating sites and applications, network behavior, social networks, new rules (Digital literacy, net neutrality,)Computers and the Future
  4. The accuracy of the presentation is excellent, and the level of abstraction is such that you can easily understand all the concepts and read the details if you like something. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to enter it:)

And seriously, this is a great book for a teenager to give him an overview of what is happening in IT.
