A Brief History of China (The Shortest History Of China) (Rubricak #History)
This book by Jaywin Linda about the history of China reminded me of a set of multi-colored beads, where each bead is a separate historical period. And this kaleidoscope begins with the emperors of ancient times and ends with their analogues in the present:) At the same time, when I read it, it seemed to me that each chapter is so overloaded with events and key characters that it resembles a children’s kaleidoscope – if you shake it, you get a completely different picture, from a different angle and then you can look at it again. In general, the book is great for an initial acquaintance, which will allow you to learn about a lot and further dive into what is interesting, and helps this content, which resembles a roller coaster:)

P.S. As I read this book, I realized the true extent of China: the number of different nationalities, people, cities, heroes and villains, and dynasties that followed each other. And I remember the phrase from 1984which some of the rulers used to rule the future.
He who rules the past controls the future; he who rules the present controls the past. By the way, I recommend reading. 1984 At least in the form of a comic book I'm talking about. told earlier.
