manyuna (Category Kids)

For a month now, I have been reading chapters from the autobiographical book Manyunya about two Armenian girls who lived in Soviet times. The narration comes from the perspective of Narine, who tells about how she and her friend Manyunei lived in the small Armenian town of Bird. The book consists of individual stories that convey the atmosphere of the Soviet era, describing everyday joys and difficulties through the prism of childhood memories. We like these stories with the deja vu effect, as we managed to live six months ago in Yerevan and ride through Armenian sights:)

In general, the book is filled with warm humor and, reading it to children, I often smile:)
