My big bear. (Bye-Bye Doudou)
I really enjoyed reading this book about my favorite toy, which was originally much larger than the baby, but then the balance of power gradually changed. The child grew up, and his beloved bear remained as it was. *But today, it's hard to believe! I woke up and I saw: My toy bear. He's got a smaller stature.
- He was taller! It was heavier and bigger! Dad suddenly laughed:
- He's exactly the same!* As a result, the baby tries to feed him, but this does not help. At some point, he measures his height with his socks - there were seven of them, and there were four and hypothesizes to his parents. - You just wash it a lot! And that's why you reduce it! And at the end of the book, the baby becomes quite an adult and the bear and other plush toys are on the closet.
The book was written by French authors Tom Elian and Jane Massey. website Myth is an explanation of the original title of the book and the idea itself. Every child has a toy that they don’t part with. They're called doudou in France. (Original Title: Bye bye doudou). Dudu is a best friend, it is a toy with which the child sleeps together, goes to kindergarten, takes it with him on trips. Dudu calms the child and gives confidence. It smells like mom, home, everyone you love, and it gives you the feeling that everything is okay. In France, parting with the dudu is the stage of growing up, the transition to an independent life.
In the end, the idea of the book is very good, but the rhymed translation turned out to be rather uneven. But I'm not embarrassed - I'm more interested in the beauty of the story:)
