I read a book this week called The Economist Walks Into a Brothel, and I want to talk about it.

Despite the title of the book, similar to the beginning of an anecdote, Allison Schrager talks about important things related to risk. The presentation of the author reminds me of the approaches of economists from Frikonomics, but here the topic is a little narrower and related to risk management in everyday life. In general, the book turned out to be interesting and informative, especially for those who did not bother too much in childhood with mathematics, but want to be able to make informed and meaningful decisions in our uncertain world.

P.S. I’ve already written about another book, The Betting Principle, which complements today’s book well, I’ve talked about it in a post. https://t.me/book_cube/178

If you like this book, you know what else to read.
