In a previous post, I mentioned the book "Friconomics" and said that the book "An Economist Enters a Brothel" is written in the style of Frikonomics.
It seems worth describing this style:
- pompous and fascinating
- comparing jokingly talking about serious issues Unusual even for the most skeptics.
To understand this style, it is enough to read the titles of the chapters.
- What Do Schoolteachers and Sumo Wrestlers Have in Common?
- How Is the Ku Klux Klan Like a Group of Real-Estate Agents?
- Why Do Drug Dealers Still Live with Their Moms?
- Where Have All the Criminals Gone?
- What Makes a Perfect Parent?
- Perfect Parenting, Part II; or: Would a Roshanda by Any Other Name Smell as Sweet?
- Epilogue: Two Paths to Harvard
Books already. 17 Many examples have already worn out, but it is still interesting to read the book because of the sparkling presentation of interesting material:)
