This book by Dan Roham continues his book Visual Thinking, which explores how simple drawings can play a role in idea generation and communication in general. She presented an interesting new method for solving completely different problems – from strategic issues of top management to the most prosaic office problems. And in the book-continuation helps readers to implement their methodology in daily practice. The book is full of detailed examples, exercises and empty space for your drawings.

I read this book with pleasure. The only problem was getting through the boring repetitions of the first fifty pages. (The feeling that they were written for those suffering from memory lapses). As soon as the introductory part with a lot of repetitions ended, everything became very interesting and useful. I liked what the author highlighted. 6 Questions to solve any problem that needs to be answered with pictures. I remember these questions in the order of What, Where, When (famously) and the remaining 3 - How much, how, why.

  • I came up with a concept about the depth of the problem for different people to whom you want to convey your thoughts. That is, someone needs to prepare a top-level picture without immersing in details, while others require a detailed display. If you do not understand the needs of these people, then the first will think that you overload them with unnecessary details, and the second will think that you do not understand the issue in question:)

In general, the book can be recommended to anyone who needs to analyze problems, as another method for using such a powerful tool as the human brain.)
