Sweeney Todd, the Barber Maniac of Fleet Street (Taganka Theatre)

My wife and I were at the Taganka Theatre yesterday. musical The famous barber Sweeney Todd. I liked the interactive format, where visitors sit at tables and all the action takes place between them. Heroes move between tables, sing, sometimes pour or treat cakes:) Since this is a musical, the audience enjoys the music, and since the story is heavy, and black humor. The plot itself is similar to the story of the Count of Monte Cristo, where the main character is obsessed with revenge.

P.S. I haven’t seen the Kish version of this story, so I can’t compare it. But I liked this performance at the Taganka Theatre.
