The Rise of the CAIO (Category Management)
I recently had a funny look. article CAIO – Chief AI Officers I have nothing against a variety of CxOs, but these new namings you can track hype trends. I tried to remember what interesting appeared or gained popularity in recent years. 20 years CTO - Chief Technology Officer - when technology became fashionable
- CKO - Chief Knowledge Officer - when the idea of Peter Singe's learning organizations became popular
- CGO - Chief Growth Officer 15 The years when everyone was chasing wild growth (Example of Content Platoms and Social Networks) CDTO - Chief Digital Transformation Officer - when everyone suddenly lit up with digital transformation (Not even a digital business initially.) CDO - Chief Data Officer - when data became known as the new oil CAIO - Chief Artificial Intelligent Officer - when everyone ran to engage in artificial intelligence I wonder what kind of C...O we’re looking forward to.)
P.S. Separately, I note that often after the term appears, its inflation begins - I have seen examples where, in addition to the chief CTO and other technical managers, they began to call CTO something like this. CTO of large products (~500 engineer)
- Next CTO divisions. (~70 engineer)
- Next, CTO teams. (~ 10 engineer) The final point can be yourself. ~~director~~ CTO:)
