I launched this site a little over a week ago and continued to actively develop it and decided to share lessons learned. To improve the site using only Lovable is expensive - loans fly away as if not in themselves - I have come this way for a monthly subscription in just a month and a half. 0$ -> 25$ -> 50$ -> 100$ -> 200$

  • As the second and primary assistant, I now use OpenAI Codex, where subscriptions are available. 200$ enough for web, deep research, and code writing (single-handedly) I've added a lot of new chapters + a separate section that is dedicated to Technology Documentaries
  • For complex topics, I made visualizations of architecture and workflow - see examples from casework I added a bright theme, table of contents, changed the layout for the mobile and a lot of other things. The site managed to lie down a couple of times in a week. Once, Codex and I optimized the build and lazy download of React, which locally worked, but on external hosting did not – we had to roll back this optimization. The second time there was a problem with DNS - I forgot to confirm the email to the domain name registrar and then the delegation of the site was stopped. (Next, I squeezed the confirmation button from the email and literally just through 2 It all came back in an hour, and maybe after. 2 day) Once I asked to refactor the project and the agent went locally to sausage something for the night - in the morning came to check, made a few fixes and everything flew. I have tests, but due to the fact that I often change the appearance of the site, I often just regenerate them, rather than run them for verification. (Chapters are separate ts files, so changes are usually well localized and have few externalities.)
  • I do it on weekends and also in the evenings after work and it's addictive - sometimes in the evening. 2 In the morning, I find myself thinking that I need to give a bigger problem and finally go to bed.)

And if in general, I have not been so interested in developing software as a hobby after work - before the lack of time, and now with new tools interferes only the lack of ideas. If you have ideas, try new tools and you might like it.
