To the voice! A Boring Guide to Creating a Podcast
Yesterday I finished reading a book about the creation of podcasts from four writers who created the podcast "Coven of Dumbs." The book is written easily and takes the reader with him into the world of podcasts so that by the end of the book you want to go and make your podcast:) The reader goes along with the authors of the book all the steps towards this.
Head. 1. How did the "Coven Dur" podcast begin? This chapter discusses the issues Why do you need this podcast as a creator? What the listeners will get from this podcast What will be the uniqueness of the podcast
Head. 2. Podcasts: what is it and what is it eaten with? In this chapter, the authors talk about the podcast format and why it is relevant now. And they also talk about the terminology of podcasting, like, jingles, bloopers, show notes and teasers:)
Head. 3. Mom, I'm a podcaster! This chapter is about how to determine The value you want to convey in your podcast
- Podcast format: conversational (solo, interview, talk show)narrative (lectures, stories) The target audience, who they are, what their interests are,
Head. 4. The first issue is the most important Here, the authors talk about the preparatory work so that the first pancake release does not turn out to be a coma. And the next issues went on a rolled-out, including a plan for them, headings, descriptions and so on.
Head. 5. Technical issue The whole chapter is devoted to how to write sound correctly and further reduce it. The goal is to make your recordings quality and the final track enjoyable to listen to.
Head. 6. Guest's all head. In this chapter, the authors share secrets about how to invite guests to your podcast. How to prepare questions for them and how to be ready for improvisations, which of course will be during the recording
Head. 7. Personal nonsense about personal brand A story about how to deal with a personal brand. How it helps to promote the podcast, and how then the podcast helps pump a personal brand.
Head. 8. How to monetize your podcast In this chapter, the authors talk about the fact that any work must be paid, even the recording of podcasts. And then they share options for monetization. The ideas themselves are obvious, but the authors are very easy and easy to consider them, so it does not seem strained.
Head. 9. There is no limit to perfection. The chapter is about how to work on yourself so that the podcast gets better. A lot of advice on how to train your speech, which is only heard on your podcasts.
And goodbye! This is a parting chapter for a future podcaster colleague, from which I liked the phrase. “Podcasts are another way of communicating and empathizing. It is a way of life in which stories become what they were originally - the opportunity to share a piece of your soul with someone who is dear to that very soul.
