In continuation of the theme of anthropology, I will recall today the book by Diana Ackerman “The Age of Man”. The World We Created from the Series #PopScience. The author tells about the Anthropocene era. It's colorful and juicy. Readers with a good imagination can see and feel the epic nature, the vulnerability of man to the wrath of nature, the power of all mankind reshaping landscapes, biosystems, climate. The book consists of three parts. Welcome to the Anthropocene: Changes in Nature and Climate In a house of stone and light - about cities that once separated people from nature, and now form their ecosystem, including many species of plants and animals

• And how much "nature" in nature - about invasive species that change the balance in ecosystems, about DNA and genetics, about bacteria - our influential satellites And the conclusion ends with a couple of paragraphs that compare:
• an archaic view of nature, when man lived on the principle of "us against them" An anthropogenic representation of nature, when nature surrounds us, permeates us, foams around and within us, lives in us. In summary, I can say that the book is good, but with a special agenda on sustainable development without the depletion of nature:)
